The Church of St Ignatius is accessed by climbing the Baroque Jesuit’s Staircase and is the work of the famed Jesuit architect and painter Ignazio Pozzo. He worked on the church from 1699 to 1703. The ornately decorated altars and narthex are second only to the dome that rises over the narthex, Old Town, Dubrovnik, Croatia.
