Blue-footed Booby Preening

A Blue-footed Booby preening its wet feathers after having just emerged from the ocean onto the red lava rock of Rabida Island, one of the Galapagos Islands. Notice that its feet are not blue which is typical when the bird comes from the water. As the bird warms up the feet slowly turn the recognizable blue.
