Watkins Glen Log Jam

One of the 19 waterfalls seen by visitors to Watkins Glen State Park, in the Fingers Lake District of New York State has its flow altered by a log from a fallen tree wedged between the shale gorge through whch the water is falling. Within two miles, the glen's stream descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs generating 19 waterfalls along its course.
