Dog-faced Metalmark - Thisbe lycoras - Dorsal 2

A beautiful little butterfly, with a wing span of about two inches, the Dog-faced Metalmark has a broad white bar running across its brown wings that are highlighted by reddish spots on the forewings and a orange band on the hindwings. The hind wing is slightely tailed making it look like it is the head. Also called Banner Metalmark.
