Port Douglas - Wildlife Habitat Care Centre was opened in 1989 as the Rainforest Habitat as a butterfly sanctuary and, when it was purchased in 2005 by the Woodwards it expanded and expanded a commitment to animal conservation and was renamed Wildlife Habitat as a wildlife immersion experience.
It was there, in 2013. I took these bird photographs. Please note that I do not profess that all these images are of the highest quality but are posted primarily for others to use for identification purposes.
In 2018, the Wildlife Habitat Care Center was renamed as a new non-profit Tropical Animal Rehabilitation Centre (TARC) with the support of the Walter and Eileen Leder Foundation and The CaPTA group’s Woodward Family, maintaining the dedication to the conservation of native Australian Wildlife.
