February 2020: I spent three days in Amboseli National Park, Kenya, on behalf of "Kindness Cultural Safaris." Operated by a close friend, the safaris are under the auspices of Denur Crafts and the proceeds from each trip sends a Kenyan child to school for a year.

Although I only spent a few days, the safari's itinerary is far more extensive including visits to Lake Nakuru National Park and the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

The safari guide and driver were incredibly knowledgeable and facilitated my photographic efforts. One caution though - Amboseli is very extensive and open and the vehicles must stay on the roads, therefore, if getting photos is your focus, do take the longest lens you have!
