  Cairo's Khan el-Khalili Bazaar

Khan el-Khalili Bazaar

Known as the Turkish bazaar during the Ottoman period, the Kahn el-Khalili Bazaar is now usually just called the 'Khan.' It represent the market tradition which established Cairo as a major center of trade.

Situated at one corner of a triangle of "markets," the Khan is the hub of many narrow streets on which you can find a variety of cafes and traditional Egyptian products.
