The site of synagogue is considered holy and blessed to the Jews because it has been proven that Moses prayed here - it is said that before he left Egypt, Moses prayed for the last time on the site and left traces or mark signs, which prove his existence in Egypt during early times.

At the back of the temple, there is a very deep well (above), where the coffer, in which baby Moses was placed by his mother, was reportedly found.
