The display case on this and the next page was located outside in the colonade surrounding the courtyard, at the Contemporary Art Museum, which made taking photos a bit "revealing!" and, unfortunately, of another equally attractive case, impossible.
The dispay was titled "The Arrival of the Inka - Year 2000" and the contemporary pieces on display are in a form similar to and decorated with symbols found on ancient Inca ceramics a combination of modern and antique designs. Enhancing the ancient processes with modern methodology many of the items both decorative and utilitarian in today's world. The necklaces on display are contempory in design but maintain the old-world charm. |
